Morehead was my home for half a decade, The Venue was the first place to make me feel like a real journalist. Then owners (2021) Damon and Hannah made me feel at home and treated me like a professional, even put a little name tag on my table... and made me a mind blowing bourbon cocktail. It was my 38th birthday, and I was celebrating with some of the regions finest singer songwriters. Personal Note* this was my very first experience with the 'singer songwriter round' set up, Four artists on stage take turns singing and talking about their songs. Since this event, these types of rounds have become my favorite at any festival. The Venue is now under new management and will be reopening soon.
